7 Square Kilometers
Lake Songhua Resort features a thriving mixed-use town center, with ground-floor retail and housing above. PlusUrbia master planned the site and designed the architecture to work in harmony with the contours of the natural terrain. This minimizes the need for re-grading the site, which saves costs for the developer and has the more significant benefit of reducing the impact of development on the site that features Qing Mountain, Lake Songhua, and about seven square kilometers of nature spread across a valley. The bus terminal was designed for transit connections to nearby Jilin, a city of 27 million served by major rail routes. PlusUrbia also designed an ice skating rink and more than a dozen mid-rise buildings that will be built in the second phase of the resort’s development.
