Community engagement and volunteer service are means to promote road safety in Puerto Rico. One of these examples was Roberto H. Todd Avenue in Santurce, part of San Juan’s downtown areas. In conjunction with Walmart Puerto Rico, alternatives were presented to Puerto Rico’s Department of Transportation and Public Works for a road diet with bike lanes.
