Located in the new Puwan Economic Development area, Harbour City will be the first development design as the reference for the rest of the region. The project covers an area of 104 Ha divided into 5 phases with a range of densities between 1.65 and 3.0 FAR. This allows for various building typologies such as townhomes, garden apartments, and 9-30 story high-rises.
With careful consideration of the visual impact that such development will have on the immediate landscape, PlusUrbia and its consultants carefully laid out the building volumes and the block structure to consistently respect the natural systems that are currently in place.
With that premise, the design implements an overlay of built form that continues nature and the visual richness of the hills rising in the background juxtaposed to the horizontal waterfront by utilizing a layered building system. In the inner harbor of the new Puwan Development Area, Vanke’s Dalian Harbour City rises from the shores of a regional park, becoming a residential and commercial center of reference in the area.
