Papagayo Vistas
Gulf of Papagayo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Project Type: Residential Development
Project Status: Planned
Completion Date: September 2016
Site Area: 166 acres
Team: PlusUrbia

A Residential Resort

Costa Rica is the ecotourism destination of the Americas. It has an incredible and well preserved natural beauty, hospitable people, distinctive culture, a friendly and safe reputation, and has brought about a sustained increase in the number of tourists and second–residence seekers it welcomes every year.

Guanacaste offers the perfect combination between tranquil beaches, spectacular shoreline views, interior tropical jungle, mountainous terrain and trekking, wildlife habitats, and access to Costa Rica’s famous national parks. All whilst being within reach of new hospital facilities, such as the CIMA Hospital, and near towns with services, shopping, and restaurant and entertainment options, such as Playas del Coco, Flamingo, or Conchal.

The site is located in elevated terrain to the south of the village of Playa Panama, overlooking the waters of Bahía Culebra, 3km south of the Playa Panamá Beach.

The site is 67 hectares (166 acres), roughly rectangular in size, and dominated by two long parallel ridges and a third ridge that peaks at one of the highest points in the area (160 m / 525 ft). The site’s topography provides good views toward Bahía Culebra and the Gulf of Papagayo and also inland toward the Sardinal plateau and the Tempisque river banks.

The development seeks to combine in harmony the site’s most remarkable characteristics:

  • its views of the water and the mountains;

  • its topography, allowing for secluded areas immersed in nature and rain forest;

  • its location, at the entrance of all that the Golfo Papagayo area has to offer.

The development program has sub-divided the terrain according to optima uses:

  • Residential Development

  • Club House and Common Amenities

  • Outdoor and nature spaces
