The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) has invited Juan Mullerat, Director of +Urbia, to speak at this year’s annual Congress in Madison, Wisconsin, to take place on June 2, 2011. Titled “Public Space Design in Europe, the Middle East, China, and South America,” Juan will discuss recent projects in Europe, the Middle East, China, and Latin America. The session will start with a presentation on the current status of global design and public space and will continue with an introduction to the European Awards for Urban Public Space. The session will conclude with presentations of radical projects in Dubai, Shanghai, and Buenos Aires. Other speakers will include: Jaime Correa, Jean Francois Lejeune, Ludwig Fontalvo, and Roberto Behar.
